Lake Powell and the New Do (the title of our newest book)

Been a couple of months, thought I would tell you the newest news.
We recently got back from vacation with Nicole's family to Lake Powell. It was a blast and we got to take Yakity Schmakity ( yakityschmakity.blogspot.com ) with us and of course he had a blast.
I tried my hand at water skiing and just got very wet (along with some really saweet rope burns ) Nicole of course popped up like a cork.

It was awesome watching Nick hold on with all he had. He wouldn't let go for nothing, I give him kudos for that.:)

And thus it shall be known that all Italic writing is "a Moment with Nicole".

Yeah, I want a say in what goes on our blog too.

Cool beans. Here is a shot of me getting drug behind the boat ( name of the pic can't be shared here but needless to say I am "retaining water", I don't want to be to "anal" about it but it was kinda uncomfortable... )

After we got back Nicole decided it was time to get a new do ( I think she looks freakin hot with it curly but she does not even own a curling iron so it makes it a little harder to do the do... )

I have a new calling as Elders Quorum President and as the first act I ripped off someones roof! ... with their permission of course.

I helped too! It was my first time ripping off a roof. I was sooo Excited! ;)

She was awesome outworking most of the guys ( I think she did half the roof herself )

I wasn't gonna say anything, I didn't want to make the guys feel bad :) But I'll tell you what I'm feeling it today. My poor muscles.

Ok so it was not my "first" act but my memory is too short and we did the roof yesterday.

If anyone needs a really saweet titanium cane I have 5... don't all crowd in at once now ( $120.00 each as seen on ebay )

WE MADE IT!!!!

Just a quick update on life around the Carr's of Salt Lake.

Nicole and I have been trying to push to get out of debt, mostly mine from before we got hitched. I think we now have 5 "jobs" GTS for me, Skool Days for Nicole (no I didn't spell that wrong, its no wonder kids can't spell nowadays). Ebay store for me, Usborne books for Nicole. Exec Sec in the ward for me, 1st councilor in the YW for Nicole. And both of us deliver books for her parents "Real Estate Book".

During all of this the truck engine looks like it will need to be rebuilt or replaced ($3500+), bad buy that one. And Nicole's check engine light just came on... no not Nicole's check engine light the Camery's her car...

Needless to say we have found ourselves with an excess of free time so Nicole has started painting with water colors which she seems to really enjoy. She painted our "Dorey" fish we named Blue and did a really good job. I will have to sneak a photo of it so you can see, she is kinda shy about that kinda stuff. But here is the little cutout fishy in its little paper tank as it swims up to look for food...

I tried to build a model airplane that is a little crooked so i am not sure it will make it out of the skeletal stage or not... I will have to try and make it square first...

Nicole and I spent this sat at the Gallivan Center downtown Salt Lake working the "Viva SLC" concert put on by "The Blaze" it was pretty fun to work together and hang out, Nicole is kinda lost in the world of roadies but I think that is a good thing.
As always we forgot the camera so no photos.

We tried to plant a pear seed in a pot for the "Redford Ranch" but I don't know if the seed will sprout... it has been a week and a half and nothing yet. We will just have to try again... and maybe do some research this time.

Anyway it is a little past 2AM and Nicole is patting out a beat on her stomach in her sleep ( this is a new one! )( I think it was "Mary Had A Little Lamb" ) I think she is trying to tell me to go to sleep... and I will right after I take this opportunity to take a picture of the fishy and insert above.

But on to the topic of the Blog, it has been a year already! Today (or rather yesterday since it is in the AM)was our first anniversary! We had a pretty good day though nothing special as we had to work yesterday. But tomorrow we are hopefully going to dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory (they don't take reservations so we hope to get in without the 3 hour wait we had last time)

We decided that we had better join the "Carr blog revolution" or we would be quickly left behind.

So instead of trying to catch everyone up all at once we think we will just start from scratch and act like we have been doing this all along... yeah.

Last night was double date time at the drive-in! The key for this is we only took enough chairs for 2 people so its snuggle time! ;>)

We went and saw a double feature of Terminator IV and some stupid movie made after the fashion of "A Christmas Carol" with a bunch of stars, but don't waste your time we wish we hadn't.

But the best part of the night is now Nicole wants to see all the other Terminator movies! (total score for me!!! until I looked up all the other terminators and discovered that they are all "R"... BOO!)

On to the current bad news my truck has turned out to be a disaster having spent a month in the shop (a different but related disaster) it looks like at least the bearings in the engine are fried... probably going to set us back another $3K after the $700 we spent to get the oil pump changed out...

Other than that Nicole is still doing the Usborne thing and enjoying it. (www.nicolesbookcorner.net) I started an ebay store where I want to sell some stuff I can't afford to buy yet but I am selling over 100 movie theatre chairs if anyone wants some (wink wink hint hint) through a series of unfortunate incidents I have 120 of them here in Salt Lake and am paying for storage... BOO!

Back on the happy side my 27th B-day is monday, our first anniversary is on the 7th and we have the last week of July to go to lake powell with Nicoles side of the zoo... I mean family...

We will post some updates to let you know what life is all about up here all alone in Salt Lake and post some postdates to let you know what we have been up to for the past year... maybe...

A bientot (thats see ya later in french... don't get confused you don't pronounce the stupid freakin last t... i don't know why they don't drop that crap and make it easier to learn their freakin language... )
